EOE/AA/M/F/D/V Job Description: -Ensure architecture evaluation and delivery within the application development project area of CPS Data Acquisition -Drives technical innovation to create leading edge production solutions to enable productivity across the Nielsen CPS Data Acquisition team -Coaches, mentors and manages the performance of the technical resources across the CPS DA team Job Responsibilities: -Develops architecture plans and strategies within the CPS DA group -Executes the approved plans relating to the CPS DA group using the appropriate "job jar/ tollgate" processes to effectively manage the workload. -Manage the analysis and developers during the project life-cycle to ensure quality work delivered on-time. -Evaluate new projects and technology providing recommendations and estimations. -Ensures project(s) alignment to standards, processes, common platforms, and architectures. -Provide coaching and training to key resources within the CPS DA group to create a high performing organization.




Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science -Experience with architecture solutions, application and database development activities and standards within software development -Experience with Handheld technology, device driver and telecommunication technology -Competent at translating functional requirements into technical requirements -Broad technical skills in the following: -Experience with windows client development -Experience with program languages (java, C++, .Net) -Experience with relational databases (SQL, etc) -Experience with Unix -Design experience for large systems using UML or other modeling tools for example Data Flow Diagramming / work flow modeling -Broad knowledge and understanding of the key products, services and operations of the Nielsen business -Strong leadership capabilities to lead, and mentor the technical team -Good relationship builder - GBS peers and business partners -International experience of managing diverse teams of people, including strong cultural awareness is preferred.
